Devly is a local bundle of over 50 utilities for macOS: encoding, hashing, JSON/XML handling—all without relying on online services. License costs $4.99.
Even though I’m not a developer, I work as a tester and frequently need to manipulate code: convert formats, generate HEX, and much more. I usually do this with various online tools, but lately they’re blocked and there’s a risk of leaking confidential data. That’s why it’s better to use local tools.
If you use macOS, Devly can be a great solution. It contains more than 50 useful utilities for developers:
- Encoding & Decoding – Base64, URL, HTML Entity, JWT, and other formats
- Hashing & Generation – MD5, SHA‑1, SHA‑256, UUID, secure password generation
- Checksum Verification – validate files by hash
- Data Format Handling – formatting, validation, and conversion of JSON, XML, YAML, SQL, CSV
- Syntax Highlighting & Error Checking – built‑in structure validation
- Web‑Development Tools – color converters, CSS/JS/HTML minification, Data URI generation
- Text Processing – case conversion, regex testing, diff comparison, text statistics
- Port Lookup – identify services by port number
- Password Hashing (bcrypt) – securely create password hashes
- Format Converters – JSON ↔ YAML, XML → JSON, and other transformations
To use any tool, simply click its icon in the menu bar, select the desired utility, and apply it. The output appears in the same window.
