When you are an application or website developer, you often have to deal with some small routine tasks. For example, decoding text in Base64, calculating checksums and the like.
When you are an application or website developer, you often have to deal with some small routine tasks. For example, decoding text in Base64, calculating checksums and the like.
Usually you have to use a dozen third-party tools to clear questions. So, other developers have already taken care and made the DevToys utility , in which they collected all such tools.
The utility is free and open source, but is only available on Windows. For macOS there is a full copy called DevToysMac which can be downloaded from this link .
What's available
In total, DevToys offers six sections with utilities: converters, decoders, formatting, generation, working with text and graphics. There are about five tools available in each of them. You can also use the search.
When you have decided which tool is right for you right now, to use it you just need to open it and specify all the necessary parameters.
For example, for a hash generator, you can specify the spelling of letters, output type, HMAC mode, and salt parameters.
More features
In the DevToys settings, you can enable automatic detection of a suitable utility depending on the contents of the clipboard. You can also customize the appearance of the text editor.
