How to Add Auto-Scroll on macOS

macOS doesn’t support auto-scroll with the mouse wheel like Windows or Linux, but Scrollapp adds this feature and lets you change the scroll direction.

Windows and Linux have a handy feature: by pressing the mouse wheel, you can scroll through a window just by moving the cursor. For some reason, macOS lacks this functionality.

If you miss this feature, you can install an app called Scrollapp. Once installed, you can scroll through windows in the way described above.

In addition to pressing the mouse wheel, scrolling can also be activated by clicking the icon in the menu bar or simply with a regular click. Unfortunately, you can’t disable these extra activation triggers, which often caused me to accidentally activate scrolling just by clicking links in the browser.

There are some additional useful features as well, such as the ability to change the scroll direction.
