Captin for macOS adds on-screen and menu bar indications for Caps Lock, allowing you to customize alerts and colors.
The Magic Keyboard definitely has its advantages, but it’s not without drawbacks. One issue I find particularly frustrating is the lack of Caps Lock status indication.
Fortunately, the Captin utility easily solves this problem. As soon as you install it, pressing Caps Lock will display a notification in the center of the screen, and the menu bar icon will change color.

Of course, this behavior may not suit everyone. That’s why the settings allow you to disable any of these signals. You can also make the menu bar indicator permanent and change its color.
