Many of us have multiple computers that we need to switch between several times a day. Sometimes we have to do this so often that reconnecting Bluetooth devices just gets tedious.

If you’re using macOS, the [**Magic Device Switch**](https://jangelsb.dev/mds) app can come to your rescue—it automatically switches your keyboard, mouse, and other Bluetooth devices between computers.

The only available setting is selecting which devices to switch. If the app is installed on multiple computers, it will start switching devices between them based on one of three triggers:

- When the app launches;
- When power is connected;
- When the monitor configuration changes;
- When a monitor wakes from sleep;
- When the Mac wakes from sleep.

After the computer wakes up, MDS restarts the discovery process and automatically connects devices to this Mac, if necessary.
