macOS really doesn’t like closing apps, even when you click the Close button. So you often have to find the most convenient way to actually quit them.

With the [**MiddleQuit**](https://loopydev.gumroad.com/l/rmmvgk) utility, you can close apps by middle-clicking their icon in the Dock.

If you want, you can assign quitting to another mouse button and also change the hotkey for force quitting.
