How to Enable Copy-Paste in Command Prompt on Older Versions of Windows
Many people prefer older versions of Windows, but they lack a small yet useful feature—copy and paste support in the Command Prompt. This functionality is missing in Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and Server 2003/R2/2008/R2.
Instead of upgrading your entire OS, you can simply install the free Command Line Clipboard utility. After installation, you can configure hotkeys for text selection, copying, and pasting in the settings.
