There are things in macOS that aren’t critically important but can be annoying—especially if you’ve switched from Windows. For example, apps don’t delete properly when dragged to the Trash, won’t open when clicked in the Dock, and more.
There are things in macOS that aren’t critically important but can be annoying—especially if you’ve switched from Windows. For example, apps don’t delete properly when dragged to the Trash, won’t open when clicked in the Dock, and more.
Some of these issues can be resolved using a utility called Supercharge, which helps modify the system's behavior.
When you first launch the app and explore the Menu Bar options, it might seem like installing it wasn’t worth it. The features initially appear limited to hiding all windows, clearing the clipboard, and changing color modes.
The real magic lies in Supercharge's settings. Here, you can customize hotkeys for closing apps, reopening them from the Dock, properly deleting and cutting files, creating a new file with Option+N, and much more. You can even configure separators in the Dock to suit your preferences.
Pricing
You can use Supercharge for free if you don’t mind seeing a nag screen every 12 hours. A license costs $8 or $4 if you’re in Poland.
