How to Optimize Battery Life on Linux

If you use a laptop, you're probably concerned about your system's power consumption. While you can optimize it manually, you can also automate the process with specialized utilities.

On Linux, you can use the command-line utility TLP, which helps conserve battery life without requiring deep technical knowledge.

TLP comes pre-configured with optimized settings aimed at extending battery life, so after installation, you don’t need to worry about anything.

However, if you want to tweak some parameters, you can view most settings using the command:

powertop --autotune
