How to Share Part of Your Screen During a Call on Windows

Ultra Wide Screen Share allows you to share a selected part of your screen on an ultrawide monitor, solving the issue of how others see your screen.

Owners of ultrawide monitors are likely familiar with the problem: when you try to share your screen during a call, your conversation partners canโ€™t see anything properly due to resolution differences.

One way to solve this is to share a specific application window. But this becomes inconvenient if you need to show multiple apps. Another option is to share only part of the screen, but not all video call apps support this feature.

I solved this problem using a utility called Ultra Wide Screen Share. There are similar tools out there, but most donโ€™t work with HDR monitors.

To share a portion of your screen, launch the utility and use the frame to select the desired area. You can move and resize this area even during a call.

Then, in your video calling app, share the Ultra Wide Screen Share application window. Your conversation partners will see exactly the portion of the screen you selected earlier.
