USB Raptor turns any USB flash drive into a physical key for unlocking your PC, providing security without the need to buy an expensive K3Y key.
One way to secure access to your PC is to purchase a special K3Y key. It’s a flash drive that works as a physical key to unlock your device. If it’s plugged in and the correct password is entered, the device is unlocked. Remove the flash drive — and it locks again.
With the free USB Raptor utility, you can avoid buying such a key. Instead, you can turn any flash drive into a K3Y key.
You don’t need to do anything complicated: just plug in the flash drive and launch the utility. In the utility, specify the access password, click Create k3y file, and enable the Enable USB Raptor checkbox.

That’s all for the basic setup. Now when you start your PC, it will require you to plug in the flash drive and enter the password.

If you want to configure USB Raptor in more detail, you can enable the Advanced Configuration checkbox. After that, you’ll gain access to additional settings:
- USB Raptor auto-start control
- Password protection for USB Raptor settings
- Delayed lock when the USB drive is removed
- Master key creation
- Network-based locking parameters
- Lock screen customization
- Additional security options, such as verifying the USB drive’s serial number
- And other settings.
