Practice Pro for iPhone offers 18+ musical widgets (metronomes, players, etc.) for $4.99. It helps you stay in rhythm and in tune during practice sessions.
When practicing music, just having your instrument isn’t enough. It’s a good idea to surround yourself with metronomes, tuners, and other tools to help you hit the right notes.
Of course, you could buy all these gadgets separately, but if you have an iPhone, the Practice Pro app might be all you need. It already includes 18 widgets to help you keep rhythm and tune.
When you first launch the app, you’ll be asked to choose a widget template. You can also change its color palette for better readability.

Maybe it’s because I’m not a musician, but I couldn’t quite understand the difference between the templates or what exactly the displayed instruments were.
In general, that’s not a big deal. As you use Practice Pro, you can create your own templates with an unlimited number of widgets.

There are around 20 widgets you can add, although many are variations of the same type. For example, there are five different metronomes.
Here’s what you can add:
- Clock
- Metronome – Simple Pendulum
- Metronome – Digital Pendulum
- Metronome – Traditional Pendulum
- Metronome – Flash
- Metronome – Auto Increase
- Mirror
- Photo
- Pitch Playback – Multi
- Pitch Playback – Single
- Recorder
- Repetition Counter – Icon Style
- Repetition Counter – Number Style
- Stop Watch
