How to Always Show the Time When the Settings Panel Is Hidden in Linux

The Floating Mini Panel in Gnome allows you to replace the standard panel with a compact floating one — complete with a clock and quick access to settings.

When working on any desktop OS, I prefer to hide the control panels and similar UI elements to maximize my workspace. However, I still want to see the current time and have quick access to system settings.

If you're using Linux with the Gnome desktop environment, you can install the Floating Mini Panel app.

It replaces the default settings panel with a small floating one that you can place anywhere on the desktop. This way, you can always see the current time and quickly adjust your settings.
