When searching for information online, everyone has their preferences when it comes to choosing a search engine. For privacy, DuckDuckGo might be more suitable, while Bing might be preferred for neural networks. And somehow, you find yourself combining these search engines through quick commands in the address bar. But there's a better option.
SearchJumper helps you quickly switch between popular search services and perform searches from the context menu in the service you prefer.
The extension is available for installation on Chrome and Firefox, but if desired, you can install the script in Greasemonkey and use SearchJumper even on mobile devices in supported browsers.
Using the Extension
Clicking on the extension or the panel on the left opens up a selection of search engines categorized by images, videos, news, and more. You can navigate to a specific search engine by simply clicking on it.
Alternatively, you can enter a search query on the right, select the desired engine from the filter, and then a tab will open in the chosen search engine with the specified query.
Another option is to initiate a search through the pop-up or context menu on the page.
There's also an exotic search option—transferring selected text to the SearchJumper search wheel.
A list of recently used search engines is displayed below the query line.
Customization
If, by some miracle, your favorite search engine is not supported by SearchJumper, you can manually add it via the extension's context menu. Simply select "Add Current Engine."
In the settings, you can change the display of almost any element or configure search parameters for each of the engines.
