It may seem that nothing could be simpler than sending files via AirDrop, but even this tool can be made more convenient.
For example, after installing the free utility Menu Drop you can send a file simply by dragging it onto the appropriate icon in the menu bar. All you then need to do is select the recipient, and the file is sent instantly.

All of this happens a little easier and faster than the standard process: open the menu, pick a recipient, and then choose the file you want to send.
